Reza and I collaborated to bring together a group of strangers to celebrate the spring equinox aka Persian New Year.

This was a new celebration for me. I love celebrating yearly traditions in times other than January, so for Reza to open her culture and share tradition felt really special.

We celebrated this season’s refresh through

spring cleaning, a shared feast, and the symbolic Haft-Seen table.

We gathered over traditional Iranian dishes such as tahdig, eggplant stew, borani laboo, and borani-yeh karafs.
